I just bought three new simpliphi batteries to replace my old lead acid batteries and ever since installation my outback charge controller has been tripping off regularly. We never had this problem before and have not changed anything else about the system. Any thoughts?

Is it shutting off from over voltage or overcurrent or overheat ?
What are your new batteries rated to be charged at ? Li is much more demanding of tight voltage tolerances then lead acid

LFP batteries will accept all available current until fully charged, which may prompt an over current or over temperature fault of the charge controller, assuming the array is oversized, settings are important, nothing is mention regarding them and they differ vastly from lead acid.
Without this information it's impossible to suggest what, why or if, there is a problem that is causing the issues being experienced.

Yes, the Simplifi may be turning OFF abruptly because it is going over-voltage and protecting itself ? What is the Absorb set-point voltage on the charger and what is the voltage limit of the Simplifi ?

Yup, the above ^^. It is said SimpliPHIs are a drop in replacements for FLAs and that is kind'of true. But they require different parameters for charging and discharging. And that stuff is really important to get correct. Without knowing what equipment you have and the charge controller settings its impossible to give more help.Off Grid.
