2.1 Kw Suntech 175 mono, Classic 200, Trace SW 4024 ( 15 years old but brand new out of sealed factory box Jan. 2015), Bogart Tri-metric, 700 ah @24 volt AGM battery bank. Plenty of Baja Sea of Cortez sunshine.
Im thinking of generator sizing not looking to run on solar. I have a 10000 btu window unit that runs on a open frame 2000 gen. But I would like to no if a 3500 surge 2500 running would work for the rv ac?
Champion inverter dual fuel here (https://www.championpowerequipment.com/product/100263-3400-watt-dual-fuel-inverter/) and it runs my 15000BTU rooftop just fine. If I need to charge the batteries with my PD4060 the first bit of bulk charging will pull a good 1000w of power (AC not DC) from the genset, but I have enough headroom from the generator for both simultaneous if needed. IIRC I have seen 1800w being pulled by the A/C by itself when it was working hard.

I hear good reports from Champion 2800 owners running their RV air conditioning.
