    There are very few - if any - books currently available that are up to date.

    Best bet is probably the Home Power back issues and articles www.homepower.com

    You might also try this book:

    Photovoltaics: Design & Installation Manual

    I went through this book front to back before attempting to build my first system and it was a tremendous help.
