i found this statement
Plz help me understand this.

Conext SW 3,400 watt 24VDC/120/240VAC Inverter
Important Information: The Schneider Electric SW inverters are rated for 240 Volts AC output. When powering 120 Volt devices, the inverter is not capable of delivering its full power output. The 4024-21 is capable of delivering a maximum of 2,550 Watts at 120 Volts AC.
My goal is to power my 2hp / 240vac Tablesaw Iwhich i currently do via gas gen. (no issues) doens't even fizz the gen . It has 9300 surge 7500 continuous .it's wired as 240.
Sadly i cannot afford 7200 cdn dollars / taxes in for the xw pro Schneider ugh 48v.
sooooooooooooooooooo . i'm worred that it sw -24 4000 wont' run my table saw. Is there a way to know BEFORE i plunk done 2600.00 cdn + taxes for this inverter?
plz note thespecs say:
- Output Power: 3,400 Watts continuous, 4,000 Watts for 30 minutes
- Surge Rating: 7,000 Watts for 5 seconds
Plz help me understand this.

Many inverters cannot handle a load imbalance of more than 50%
you quoted " The 4024-21 is capable of delivering a maximum of 2,550 Watts at 120 Volts AC"
So if your saw consumes less than 2,250 watts, you are fine
The inverter surge ratings are listed for full 240VAC output, not a single leg. The inverter can handle a slight overload for a short while, but a strong overload, only a few seconds. This relates to how much heat the inverter can dissipate,
Now I see your saw is a 240V saw. 2hp ! Somewhere on the saw, maybe the motor, will be an electrical nameplate listing the volts and amps the motor requires. look for
VA
LRA
watts
volts
amps
( VA = VoltAmps, an AC form of watts, LRA = LockedRotorAmps, which is the draw at a cold start )
Write back with as many as you can find.
PS Most motors work best with a pure sine wave inverter, verify that the SW is sine wave, not modified sine

Thanks mike. i'm at work and i will look for name plate on this motor when i get home .
The sw is- 100% pure sine wave

As Mike said many inverters can't handle an unbalanced load or the max wattage on a single leg.
With your table saw it runs on 240V so should be fine.
As to the '...doesn't fizz the gen." statement, you likely can't hear it when you are cutting up 3 thick hardwood over the saw...lol. Doubt at start up it would be much of a load.Home system 4000 watt (Evergreen) array standing, with 2 Midnite Classic Lites, Midnite E-panel, Magnum MS4024, Prosine 1800(now backup) and Exeltech 1100(former backup...lol), 660 ah 24v Forklift battery(now 10 years old). Off grid for 20 years (if I include 8 months on a bicycle).
- Assorted other systems, pieces and to many panels in the closet to not do more projects. -
Thanks for chiming in photowit.
So i finally have my inverter now . I have order my 6 q cells solar panels and my 12 rolls L16 6v 445ah flooded : hurray.
