inverter for Batts and car

What are some options now for a controller/charger that takes up to 300v in and that has a manual switch to charge 48v batts or
can run direct AC 240 for car charging in the sun..??These would be getting more common I would suspect..

recharging an EV via a 240VAC outlet, will be"
    slow
require a very large PV array & battery

What about a batteryless Grid Inter-Tie system, and your panels feed the grid when you are not consuming their output ?

Pretty common and easy to do.    XW has been doing this kind of thing and alot more for 16 years now.

I don't want to charge the car thru a battery....just straight from panels and controller.. I know it will take 2 + days but that's ok.....
and I don't want to do grid tie because I would rather cut ties with my local coop..just my preference..

You are looking at 4 good hours of charging a day, and you will need a high voltage controller that can talk to a car battery.  I know of no such device, but someone here may know.

most of the E rigs seem to use about 200V motors.....I haven't heard of much bigger than that... might have to buy a special charger and power it from 240AC...the prices I have seen for station charging are lousy...too much..
but what controllers allow you to take 240 directly off the controller....??I know they aren't cheap..from here on out we should all forget the word cheap..

I have never heard of anyone who does not care how long it takes to charge a large load like a car battery direct. ;)

You might look into something like what Grundfos and other pump makers do to array direct run 240vac water pumps. It would be slow and solar weather challenged, to the max!

Ranchers / farmers and Offgrid folks like me do this when they are far from the grid with big water tanks. None of this is what reasonable people would call cheap. The Schneider garage pix in post #3 has an 8.5KW solar charge controller to harvest the sun.
