Lorentz Ps600 using external power

Afternoon,

I'm a newbie in the solar game here and need some advice.

Purchased a ranch with Lorentz Ps600 pump and controller with x2 solar panels LC175-24M.

Built a pond and need to run the pump off my generator as solar only provides a few good hours of pumping on a good day.

Any recommendations on how to connect. Generator to the pump controller?

Thanks in advance for any input.
Justin

Assuming the pump works with the two panels feeding into a controller, an AC to DC power supply which matches the voltage and current required could be used in lieu of the panels. Without knowing the specifications it's hard for anyone to make suggestions, can you provide some more information?

Here is the technical specs on the controller if it provides any assistance.

    What voltage is the generator?

It's a Yamaha 6.5 hp generator with a standard outlet pushing 110 ac. I would think this would be powerful enough if solar can run it.

Sorry, as you can tell I'm no electrical engineer!

    Appreciate you taking a look

What you could do is use a bridge rectifier to provide 110VDC and use that as an input to the controller, the maximum input voltage allowable is 150V DC so it would be within this limitation.

Even with AC frequency drives the AC is rectified to DC then back to AC 3 phase, I'm unsure if the quality of the DC would be smooth enough but this would be something Lorentz could answer.

Much appreciated. Any specific bridge rectifier you recommend?

Something like this https://www.amazon.com/Pieces-Chanzon-KBPC5010-Rectifier-Electronic/dp/B079KDL8Y5?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_5 mounted on a heatsink would work, again ask Lorentz if a simple bridge rectifier is sufficient or if smoothing capacitors would be required.

Bridge rectifiers have a voltage and amperage spec.   You want the bridge to be at least 2x both volts and amps.

Standard 120vac has nearly 180V excursions, or about 360V P-P  So a 400V bridge might barely work for a short while, many generators do not produce a nice clean wavefrom, and spikes can be expected.   I'd choose at least 600V PP spec

Just to prevent another internet disaster, as mentioned before, ask Lorentz about this and maybe advice on how to do what you want safely.
