Long story short build a house in the middle of the woods 2001 in the Northeast ...purchased SW 4024 inverter disconnect and battery pack charged by generator
. Sold the house and ended up getting it back in 2017. With every intention of installing solar panels. Inverter went bad  so solar panels will be moved to a 2019 project

what I have now 8- 6vt  235 batteries and a 6500 Honda generator  and disconnect/breaker.

What I’m shortly going to,purchase
Schneider SW4024 Inverter 120/240V
Schneider Conext System Control Panel
Schneider Conext Auto Start Control
12/24V Battery Vent Fan Control

am I missing anything, or making any mistakes

Missing loads? Maybe 24v makes sense,, or maybe 48v? 120/240v inverter suggests maybe some bigger loads that might be better at 48v?

I'd suggest getting the ComBox instead of the SCP - if you are able to connect a router and computer to it.   The SCP is lots of manual button pushing and scrolling. The combox lets you use a mouse and PC to do that, and see a bit more, install firmware updates  (or brick it if you do it wrong)

With 8 batteries, wire in series and use a 48v system, not 24V

Thank you I did not know Com box could replace scp. Is the com box windows or will apple work?..
     and I was mistaken I have 12 6vt 235 batteries.

my old inverter was 24vt and supplied all power needs.
With the new inverter producing 240v I was going to add 1/2 hp water pump

If the batteries are fairly new and in decent shape, I'd consider adding to get 2 strings at 48v. Keeps wire/connector sizes more reasonable, and less voltage sag on larger loads.

So if I go 48v, can use my 250amp dc breaker box and 4/0 cable (10’)?
    Batteries are newer.

4/0 wire should be fine. You'd want to check the inverter spec/manual for max breaker size.

Thank you for your help.  I think I’ll go with 48 v and the com box.

The combox is a web interface, works with a browser, on my android or my win laptop.  Should work fine with a mac too
