my new array installed today which i havent paid for has two different voltages 15 volts different 12 panels per string 24 panels is that ok or normal i think thats outside manufacters tolerances help any ideas
Can you tell us a bit more about your system? What GT inverter, what Vmp/Imp solar panels you have, etc.?

roof shallow pitch north face no shade 30 to 40 degrees celcius thats hot in farenheight
just fittted by company not grid tied yet thats today
15 volts diference on sma screen betweeen the two srtings
company says as one string was on roof for 4 hours and second string only two hours string one heated up more which reduced output
this is possable as cooling panels in hot climates can give a lot more power ive done it years ago cant remember figure but was maybe 10to 20% built my first pv system in 1984
mr chan says heat max accounts for 4%
panel manufacters spec is 5 w over 270 watt
during install no commisioning was done on each panel
and as comissioning says go home come back next day when full sun fresh minds and clear heads

even voltages
panels that wake up in the sun together lose efficiencey due to heat build up at the same rate
panels still in the box for two hours longer ie cooler work better till they heat up
the company guru was correct although the installer had not seen before
the usa solar panel commisioning hand book while doesnt allude to this phernomon is still very wise and a good short read
