Trying to set up a system

I am trying to figure out a solar set-up for my outdoor Pool Pump.  It is rated at 110/115 Volts, 3.5 amps.  Would it be feasible to try and set up a system so that I could run the pump for 18 hours a day or more, or is that asking quite a bit for a system set-up?  Thanks.

    It is doable.  7KWhr a day.  You'd be looking at a ~28KWh battery bank for 2-day autonomy and a 4KW solar power system for charging (that will depend on location, exposure etc).  Call it about $30K with battery changes ($8K) every five years or so.

    if it's a pool pump with grid power, you are better of with
    a) buying a high efficiency 2 speed pump  (3 year payback)
    b) installing Grod-Tie solar to offset the pumps usage. (10-15 year payback)
