Lister diesels what are they worth
We have two old (1959) Lister diesel gensets; 5kw 8hp single cylinder 1800 rpm liquid cooled. Neither has run for 20 years, but still turn over; not seized up.
Was going to give them away to a friend (who would be responsible for carting them off the island they are located on) but no action after talking about it for three years now.
Are these things worth anything, or just scrap iron? We tried running them on weekends, but it just didn't make sense; noisy, smelly and hardly ever under load.

and you could sign up and put an notice on http://listerengine.com forum for the other.
I have a 3Kw 6hp 650 rpm clone lister as my daily runner.

Scrap iron to some, gold to others, they are one of the best stationary engines ever, but not for everyone, like kick start motorcycles.1500W, 6× Schutten 250W Poly panels , Schneider MPPT 60 150 CC, Schneider SW 2524 inverter, 400Ah LFP 24V nominal battery with Battery Bodyguard BMS

They used to supply power to a lighthouse on the island. They were upgraded to three cylinder 8.5 kw units after about 15 years of steady service. For a time, there was also a 5kw twin cylinder Lister that ran at 1200rpm. Sadly, I never got to hear that one run. But all of this is now history with the light stations automated, unmanned and powered by solar panels. Originally, there was a 250 watt rotating beacon. Now there is a 5 watt LED that flashes every 5 seconds or so. They are heavy enough that the only practical way to remove them would be to disassemble them into manageable components.

Trace DR1524 MSW inverter which has performed flawlessly since 1994. Outback Flexmax 80 MPPT charge controller four 467A-h AGM batteries. Insignia 11.5 cubic foot electric fridge 1/4hp GSW piston pump. My 31st year.
