Using MSView?

How does one get the nice "Bell Curve" shape when graphing data?  I have seen graphs with multiple curves: but Mine look like triangle spikes i. e. symetrical saw-tooth.

dunno if I ever used MS view to graph any data.. :(

are you using Micro Soft or Morning Star ?   MSView is the morning star software that talks and programs their controllers.

I am using the Morningstar program and trying to graph 2-3 days of data at once from a short "log" save.  Default ranges don't give much detail for a parameter.  I thought graph of "panels power developed" would be a Bell-shaped curve?  A "day-of-data" looks like a thin symmetrical triangle spike with varying amplitude for different days .

When you connect to the morningstar unit with MS view. are you right clicking on the device and saving the log file as a .CSV ?
What unit are you working with - some may not have much of a memory for more than a couple datapoints

I give the log file a name....choose what parameters to log....start recording...IT "stops automatically or I stop IT.  Look for generated CSV file....go to "logging"   Expand CSV tree to see the recorded parameters...click NEW "historical graph".....drag and drop the desired parameter onto the blank-generic graph.  "Dropping" causes the graph to format "ranges" and data curve is drawn and process is complete other than saving graph.  I will try an attachment........... 4 days plus of data......

Looks like the data is too coarse and it may be logging the high power and 0 power.  i think the .CSV file is one entry per day, but there may be a way to configure more data points.   I've not used this portion,

Try adjusting the sample rate and reducing the time, that may give you a smoother graphic profile, if that is possible, have no direct experience with that software but have used data loggers extensively. Morningstar tech support can also help, that's what they are there for and usually very helpful.
