pv to main DC disconnect wire size

I'm planning to run 2-2-4 from each pole mounted combiner to the charge controllers and main DC disconnect (midnite solar 250). That means I have to reduce the awg 2 to awg 6 to fit the breakers. What are people doing for this? sometype of reducing lug wrapped in electrical tape?

I have two arrays, one is ~100 ft, the other ~140 ft. Each will be 12 suntech 170 in strings of two. voc 43.8v, operating 35.2v, short circuit 5.14a, operating 4.83a.
