Found this on TDW and thought you guys might find it interesting. Oddly enough, the setup is rather similar to my buddy's solar weather station setups.

Maybe it should be renamed terrestrial web cam. I have one at 640 ft, what might be the lowest elevation and highest elevation for a solar powered web cam in the world that is accessible by your web browser.

you'll have to ask the national weather service that question or you can receive it in the 137mhz area with the proper equipment.:D

But's that's not a web cam, it's the downlink from the sat. :D

i am quite sure it would be available on the web, but the fact that it is not hooked directly from the camera to the web does not disqualify it as the highest. this may seem to be nit picking, but even webcams are wireless sometimes and you don't necessarily need a solid wire connection to qualify. the wireless aspect is just a bit more distant.:D

for my purposes, I define a web cam, as something accesable with a URL, not an antenna and downlink :D Like the Yeti cam, also up in the mountians.
