Wanting to wire in AC breaker box to my samlex 2000 puresyn inverter : HARDWIRE

Hello , my SOLAR PEEPS.

I'm looking to buy some ac wire and run wires thru out my cabin like a normal home (just using one outlet at a time) / so 15amps is good for 99% of plugs.

I will add one kitchen island out let for  /  20amp .

I"m looking for some guidance on to what to buy locally for ac breaker box with say 6-8 breakers.
Honestly nothing fancy or expensive.

I Needs steps to to wire to my samlex inverter ( hard wire) .
NOte , i'd only use this when batts are fully charged , / day time ONLY.

I made the below wiring connection ( 2 of these for all my 12v gear) This will give you idea of my diy skills. and bus bar

Thankyou my solar peeps

Neil

You wire the house, just as you would for a grid connected home.

I'd look around for home wiring information. I'm NOT a fan of youtube, you simply never knw if the info is good. Look around for some website offering basics for home wiring. Look to see who you are getting info from. If they throw you some videos, that's fine.

Maybe something with updating to code compliance with GFCI outlets in kitchen and bath. Might also read up on placing outlets "upside down" with new code.

If you use a 8 breaker sub panel, you could have 6 circuits and use one breaker as a main. You will have to make a jumper if you use a 240 box with 120 only... Something else for you to research....

...or hunt around for a friend who is an electrician, offer him a case of his favorite to look over your work, might keep you from burning the place down!

That cluster box of blade fuses is a hazard.   They will run full power, and get quite warm and often melt.   Maxi-Fuses have much batter contacts and less hazard.

Bare copper as buss bar is not good practice - the copper will oxidize to a brown layer and become restive.  You should drill and tap the  holes and then tin plate it to keep the resistance stable, and use backup nuts to keep tension on the connections.  Copper threads are soft and will eventually creep loose.

Your pics are not the way i'd do my place.

So even tho i've had zero issue running copper bus bar for 5 + years. Ive taken your advice and plated the copper with solder.
i'll attache a pic for you to inspect. Thoughts?

I'm not worried much about your 12 volt wiring. I personally would use grounding bars, but I have some extra Tinned Cu bars.

The house wiring is just that house wiring. If you have a Samlex inverter designed to be hard wired, hard wire it to a breaker box as you would a home. Pretty much what I did when I took my mobile home off grid. I just converter the main box to a sub panel by disconnecting the neutral ground bond and making a jumper to convert the breaker box from a 240 to a 120 box. All pretty straight forward and easy to find instruction. I left the heavy aluminum cables in the box and just capped them off in case someone wants to return to the grid after I'm gone.

I use the breaker box outside in my 'power center' as the main breaker now and bond the neutral and ground there. My whole system lives outside, inverter, charge controllers and battery bank. I only send power to the home.
