    Historic restoration. I have a preliminary line drawing. And I’ve pulled permits before. 
    I will come armed with substantial questions.

    So far it seems like I’m in the rtfm catagory. Except I did rtfm and out back is out sourcing and midnight bird box is not there.

    I run a classic 200 with outback vfx 3624 I think for a decade.

    Don't put the panels on the roof, avoid all the rapid shutdown.  Use pole mount, ground mount, or solar carport concept.

    Not sure how to get around the battery size cap though.

    I use the Schneider Electric RS solution and agree with Mike to avoid the roof. A reasonable inspector should not require RS if the habitable structure roof is not used. You may have to educate them. Good Luck
