Hello fellow offgriders,

I am moving my gravity fed 3000 gal water tank to a higher location on the property and now will be further away from the grundfos  CU-200 SQ Flex control box, past the recommended max distance of 1650 feet with 18 gauge wire. I  was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on extending the range of the  grundfos  CU-200 SQ Flex control float switch. Perhaps some sort of a linear booster? or has anyone ran larger control wire to possible extend range?  Pump and cu-200 controller is powered solar direct, no battery or ac nearby.  I do not want to use a pressure switch..... I would like to keep the system simple but am not opposed to doing a wireless controller but only if I have to.

thanks

You can go to a larger gauge wire, 16ga or even 14ga for longer distance.  I ran 18ga for my float switch and it controls a relay for the pump, not sending any real power over the long (1,000 foot run to my tanks)
