Book Recommendations?
System
Hiya Folks,
An absolutely ignorant Newb here and was wondering if there are any recommended books on the subject of Solar power generation that would start from the ground up? I'm reading posts and am picking up many of the basics but just thought something that put it all together for me would be nice. I have an EE degree but haven't used it since college so I have the capability to figure this out but a little direction is always nice.
It's obvious there's quite a collective intelligence on the subject here so I'm looking forward to my research and perhaps actually building a system someday.
Cheers,
cc

Re: Book Recommendations?
Build something small, take some data, make some conclusions. All the books and forums will only do so much. If you are interested in offgrid I would say that anything written by Windy Dankoff is near the holy grail! Good Luck!"we go where power lines don't" Sierra Nevada mountain area

Re: Book Recommendations? This is a link to a PV textbook I find very informative. It was a requirement for the FL contractor's exam I took last month. It even has a very good interactive CD with a bunch of informative extras. A quick search on-line shows this book goes for about $75.00 USD everywhere.
Don't forget nothing compares to OJT when it comes to installation. It's always best to apply in the field what you've learned from a good textbook first.
