Victron battery monitor

Hey all,
Has anyone here know anything or anyone who has used a victron monitor. It is at a good price of $195 and includes all cables and the shunt and claims high accurate read outs. It also has the voltage range of 9 - 90v which suits me because I am upgrading to 48v and my xantrex linklite can only read voltages up to 32v. In fact most of the battery monitors that I have seen dont read 48v so this one is right down my alley. Tell me what you guys think. Here is the link.

Re: Victron battery monitor
Needs isolated serial port for computer use, not a real biggie, just don't forget.
I don't know enough about monitors (yet) to know what to look for in them. The specs seem nice.Powerfab top of pole PV mount | Listeroid 6/1 w/st5 gen head | XW6048 inverter/chgr | Iota 48V/15A charger | Morningstar 60A MPPT | 48V, 800A NiFe Battery (in series)| 15, Evergreen 205w "12V" PV array on pole | Midnight ePanel | Grundfos 10 SO5-9 with 3 wire Franklin Electric motor (1/2hp 240V 1ph ) on a timer for 3 hr noontime run - Runs off PV ||
|| Midnight Classic 200 | 10, Evergreen 200w in a 160VOC array ||
|| VEC1093 12V Charger | Maha C401 aa/aaa Charger | SureSine | Sunsaver MPPT 15A

Re: Victron battery monitor
Dan, I thought this before, when I saw a previous version of their monitor...
it looks a lot like an Xantrex monitor repackaged...
compare the pics and specs, mind you this one appears much more versatile than the X version, better price too.
Cheers

Re: Victron battery monitor
West,
You are right it does look similar to the X brand. If I came across this first I would have bought it before I bought the link lite which was 10 bucks more. It has the added feature of the increased voltage range and increased Ah hour range as the Linklite only goes up to 1000Ah where as my smallest bank is 1040Ah. It also claims greater precision. All in all it seems a better unit than the lite and pro based on claimed specs.
Cheers...
