off grid water pumping Grundfos SQE

Hello all

I have an off grid system and a Grundfos SQE15.

Do any of you know if I would use less power by getting rid of the 301 control box and constant pressure feature, and going with a standard pressure switch and large bladder tank?

I'm not worried about a small amount of power but a substantial savings would be worth doing. I have never had a constant pressure system and it seems like a nice feature.

Thanks in advance
Wade

The electronic Controller box would use next to nothing power compared to the amps used by the pump.

Toothy, a more complete description of your system is needed...

You need to compare the constant draw against the periodic draw ... start / stop mose of a conventional pressure tank system.
difficulty is in determining how many times a day you start stop, size of pressure tank etc..

give us more details to help analyze...
