Solar Array Diagrams

Aloha, everyone. I have been trusing my electrician to finish my permitting for 2008 to get IRS and State tax credits. To make a long story short he has not done didily. So I need to put together some array diagrams and it would be helpful if I did not have to start from scratch. I am off grid so the Building Dept is not too strict.

Do you know of a website or? that I can use and modify some line diagrams to get the plans stamped this year, even though I will amend the plans later in January to be more exact? Possibly showing inverters, voltage regs, panels, dc breakers, etc?
thanks
frank

    Good Evening Adas,

Outback has a bunch of wiring diagrams that should give you some good ideas. These are pretty detailed--and you can print one to ask your building inspector if you can give him/her less detail.

At least electrically, wire diagrams (functional block diagram) of the main power carriers (DC, AC) and major components (panels, charge controllers, battery banks, inverters and distribution panels, safety grounds, etc.) is probably what your Building Department wants... Ignore the communications cables, remote battery temp sensors and such if the make the diagram too complex.

Aloha, thanks guys. Looking at my flexmax80 book are a couple of diagrams that should do the trick to get the plans at least submitted.

    Bill:

The link "wire diagrams" does not direct to the said diagrams but to this page: http://store.solar-electric.com/xaprbach.html
