I currently have a too large battery bank and sulfated batteries. I am purchasing new batteries and would appreciate an evaluation of my proposed configuration. Except for the batteries, all components are in place.
24 volt system
- Schneider Electric 3500 watt Inverter/Charger
- Proposed battery bank: 2 strings, each with 4 6-volt Rolls flooded 390AH @ 20 hours
- 6 Solar World Sunmodule SW 320 XL mono panels
In parallel
Max power 320w
Vmp 36.7
Imp 8.78
Into Outback FM 60 charge controller
- 6 LongiSolar LR6-72PH 370 Watt
In parallel
Max power 370w
Vmp 39.4
Imp 9.39
Into Outback FM 80 charge controller
Arrays are in South Park Colorado 65 miles East of Colorado Springs
Off-grid / No shadowing
Load:
600 Watts * 12 hours per day
120 Watts * 12 hours per night
Total = 8,640 WH per day
Generator:

What consideration did you give to the equivalent amp-hours with good quality 24vdc LifeP04 blocks?Off Grid. Two systems: 1) 2925w panels, OB VFXR3648, FM80, FNDC, Victron BMV-712, Mate3s, 240 xformer, four SimpliPHI 3.8; 2) 780w, Morningstar 30a, Grundfos switch, controller and AC/DC pump, 8 T105. I did some research on Lithium batteries, but decided to stick with flooded. It appeared that cost for equivalent is much higher with Lithium.SkipMcA

I've been building DIY LFP batteries foe LESS than Flooded Lead Acid. The latest one I'm building will cost less than $1500.00 for 14.4 kw. (16 280 ah. cells and BMS) 11 6 volt golf cart batteries have about the same amount of power but you can only use half of that power on a daily basis. So, about 20 golf cart batteries for comparison.
2.1 Kw Suntech 175 mono, Classic 200, Trace SW 4024 ( 15 years old but brand new out of sealed factory box Jan. 2015), Bogart Tri-metric, 460 Ah. 24 volt LiFePo4 battery bank. Plenty of Baja Sea of Cortez sunshine.

To clarify my post: I really just need verification that my panel input will provide enough charge to maintain an adequate SOC for the Amp Hours of the the proposed batteries. Thank you for any assistance you can provide. Skip
