Hi all ,  ok I just sunk my grundfos SQF 6 / 3 680’ in to the ground , the wire is 10g pump cable 730’
There are a few things I’m trying to wrap my head around .
The first thing is I’m popping my 20 amp breaker in my panel when I turn the pump on ?
I have a GFCI breaker , is there a reason this pump won’t run on a GFCI Circuit ?
It’s running on a 5000watt champion generator just fine with little load .
I added a regular 20 amp breaker and it’s seams to work good ?
When the pump starts i can see the soft start , the pump starts pumping at 200watts then the watts go up slowly to 700 watts , after 20 mins I’m seeing 800 watts  , 20 min more and I seeing 900 watts then 1000 watts
the pump max power is 1400 watts .
the pump max power is 1400 watts .
 The question ,
are the watts going up because the water level is dropping in the well ? Or is some thing heating up?

 I’m getting 5 gallons a minute and ran  60mins so300 gallons a hour +-
the wattage started going up slowly and stoped at 1000 watts ?

The max watts the pump will use is 1400 watts why dose it start at 800 ? Thanks for the reply .

to me ( not code ) I could expect a deep well pump to have some electrical leakage, and would expect it to trip a GFCI.
Is this a 240V AC pump? 2 wire or 3 wire ?

            Hi mike ,
It’s a sqf solar pump , runs on any power .
2 wire plus ground .
I may run it on solar at some point , but for now i have it running on my inverter .

Many (some/most/almost all?) VFDs (variable frequency drives--Typically a wide variaty of input voltage/AC/DC/battery/solar panels--And usually 3 phase variable frequency output) are "square wave" AC inverters... Those typically have a lot of noise (and higher frequency harmonics) vs PSW/TSW type inverters (VFDs are inverters)--Which some brands/models of standard GFI outlets have been known to "false trip" on MSW/SW type inverter outputs...
What the AC input current looks like on the SQF looks like--Don't know--But if you do have "trips" on a genset GFI--I would try running the pump without the GFI and see what happens.

The pump is tripping running off my house panel that has GFCI breakers from a out back inverter .
I just read that the pump can’t be used on a gfci Circuit I thought gfi would be ok .It runs off my generator .And I put a regular breaker in and it works. Its pumping 5 gallons a min @800 watts
After I run the pump for a hour I’m still getting 5 gallons a minute but using 1000watts
Question
is the pump using more power because the water level is lower in the well ?It Max’s out at 1400 watts . Thoughts ?Out back flex power one with out back 3648 inverter fm80 charge controler flex net mate 16 gc215 battery’s 4425 Watts solar .
