Hi all quite new to wind power and wonder if someone could answer my question.i have a 1000w 48v turbine connected to a 300ah 24v forklift battery.so a bit puzzled as not making alot of power . with the 3 phases not connected to rectifier I have good voltage 50+ volts but when connected to rectifier the voltage max's out at 20 volts on  three phase side with good wind is this normal because of rectifier

If you simply connect a wind turdine to a 3 phase rectifier and then to a battery, the battery when charging, will clamp the rectifier voltage to the battery voltage.  It's takes a mighty wind to get much power out of a wind turdine, and with your wind, your device may not be able to charge the batteries.

You can't use a Solar Controller with a wind turdine.  Solar controllers unload the power source (PV panels) when the batteries are full

Wind controllers start switching in large loads ( dump loads ) when the battery gets full, to prevent unloading the turbine, when Unloaded, will over speed and grenade itself, shedding blades that can fly half a mile.

Sorry should have stated I have a separate dump load circuit on the batteries.what other ways is there.

Those big turbines are geared are they as mine spin very rapidly in the wind

20 Volts input (measured) on the AC input side of the 3 Phase Rectifier, may be OK.
NOTE: When connected to the 3-Phase Rectifier, you are NOT measuring an AC Sine Wave.
What you really need to know is ...
How many AMPS are coming out of the 3 Phase Rectifier and into the battery bank ?
    Without knowing the AMPS,
you cannot say, "... not making a lot of power ...", because you do not know the power.

What make & model is your 1000 Watt 48V Wind Turbine ?
