All of the power outages here in California has everyone buying Gen sets I've heard of a lot of problems with mother boards in refrigerators . What's going on here to small of generator ? 
 24 solar world 285 watt panels with 24 Enphase 250 s ground mount grid tied .

    Fridges can be a tough load on smaller generators, which can have pretty wide variations in voltage etc to begin with. 

    Pity there aren't more inverter type fridges available in US/Canada.  With much lower startup loading, they'd be more generator friendly.  I don't know if this is the issue, but brown-outs are hard on loads.

    Ran my in-laws' home for several days on a Honda eu2000i with a extended runtime fuel cap and 5 gallon gas can (something like 2-3 gallons per day) because of wild fire warning power shut down. 2x "modern" (computer based) refrigerators plus a garage freezer, a 1/3rd HP fish pond pump, pond air compressor, and a few other small things around the home...

    Genset was new in box (bought 6+ years ago for emergency backup).... At first, had to run with ECO mode switch off... But after a day running (and adding pond water pump), could run with ECO mode one just fine (originally would stall when hit with fridge compressor load).

    No problems.

    A Honda eu2200i (new version), or eu3000i should run everything (within reason) just fine.

    We run our LG 19 Cu ft side by side fridge (purchased from Lowes Canada), bottom freezer Inverter Fridge on our Ryobi 700 Watt propane generator no problem at all (also a gazillion LED lights)

    Nice to hear we just purchased a 24 cf LG . bottom freezer from Best Buy .
