Battery box

I'm looking for a water resistant floor mountable battery box / cabinet for outdoor use preferably made of UV stabilized plastic or aluminum for 1-2 group 27 batteries but perhaps 4 at most. Plans / parts that are generally available DIY in the U.S would be excellent also.

I found the Ameresco BBA-2 but it's wall mounted and too pricey.

Some sort of plastic deck or dock box might work well as long as the bottom is well supported.  I've stored my bikes in the backyard in one for ~30yrs, and it still does the job.

Personally, I'd stay away from metal, mainly because I'm a klutz.
    Off-grid.

Dock Box or Plastic Desk works well.

Thx Mike, I am currently using one of the Minn Kota boat battery boxes but it's visually unappealing on my patio and two would be worse :-)

I'm leaning toward some sort of dock box now.

Rubbermaid has a plastic patio bench seat, with storage underneath
