Interesting,

Looks like India is going with 100% Rural Electrification via the Utility model... And did not go with the off grid solar model:

India is all set to achieve 100 per cent household electrification by the month end, with 2.44 crore families having received power connections out of the targeted 2.48 crore under the Rs 16,320 crore Saubhagya scheme, an official said. The Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana (Saubhagya) was launched in September 2017.

"The 100 per cent household electrification under Saubhagya will be achieved by month end. The government has energised 2.44 crore households under the scheme til ..

Connecting 30,000 homes per day to the grid.

A Crore is 10,000,000 (24.8 millions homes in this last/latest electrification project--If I got the the math right).

Next thing you know, global warming is the real deal. Was recently reading that India went with 50 thorium reactors. Seems like most of what we read and hear - lies?

If only solar progressed like computers have:

First Bank:16 180 watt Grape Solar with  FM80 controller and 3648 Inverter....Fullriver 8D AGM solar batteries. Looks a lot like my first puter. Arguably, we have solar such as we do because computers came as far as they did :-)

    Off-grid.

Had a 386 and a 486. Probably owned a couple dozen computers by now. They seem to have "flattened out" past few years. Locked out of my Windows 10 after forgetting the password.
