Critical feedback needed please on this lot I just purchase
Gents I picked up the following components from a gent who was planning on building a cabin that did not happen, now I own the lot
My questions:
1: if I string the batteries one string for 24 volts equal 600ah
or I build 2 12 volts and parallel them for 12000 ah concern would be
how do I charge them using
the 10% requirement per the multiple feedback from our site
4 Evergreen 200 Watt Solar Modules B Grade (meaning they are are cosmetically imperfect but functionally perfect.)
Question 2: these panel above will not suffice since their spec seems to be 12 volts see picture attach, do I string them for one string on the combiner below
Or do I just scrap them keep
them in stock and go with the 4 325 watts panel for now see previous post

You have some nice components to build a system, is this the intent? If so knowing the loads would be helpful, details of the panels, Voc,Vmp, Imp etcetera are needed, but for starters get the batteries on charge if the have been sitting unused for any length of time. With that inverter you would definitely need to use 24V since that is its nominal voltage.1500W, 6× Schutten 250W Poly panels , Schneider MPPT 60 150 CC, Schneider SW 2524 inverter, 400Ah LFP 24V nominal battery with Battery Bodyguard BMS
Second system 1890W 3 × 300W No name brand poly, 3×330 Sunsolar Poly panels, Morningstar TS 60 PWM controller, no name 2000W inverter 400Ah LFP 24V nominal battery with Daly BMS, used for water pumping and day time air conditioning.

How are the batteries wired now? Was the 24v iota charging when the 13v reading was done?
The 12v panels should work fine with that controller. You could connect them in series for a string voltage of ~80-90v, which is well within the 150v limit of the controller. Adding 4x325w@24v panels would be well over the 60a capacity though, so you'd need a second controller.Off-grid.

the reading was done couple of days ago he keep them in float stage using the honda and the iota -
Since Darkstorm is in Haiti, will the system really need a second controller? Assuming the panels are in hot topical sun, their output is going to be closer to NOCT values rather then STC. Derating 2100 total watts by 75%, their net production is ~1575watts, so charging at 29.4 volts would max out at ~54 amps.The 12v panels should work fine with that controller. You could connect them in series for a string voltage of ~80-90v, which is well within the 150v limit of the controller. Adding 4x325w@24v panels would be well over the 60a capacity though, so you'd need a second controller.

I didn't know he was in Haiti, so derating panels makes sense. Presumably the batteries would also be warm, so temp compensated charging voltage would be a bit lower, but could still likely get away with one CC.
Personally, I wouldn't want to run that close to rated output, especially in a hot climate, and wouldn't mind the redundancy.Off-grid.

see post #5 again, you will need another CC for the larger W panels, you can not mix them and get the full output you expect. It could be damaging to the CC if mixed... Again 2 charge controllers
