Hello, I'm new to this forum, and extremely new to wind/solar power. I'm a novice inventor and have a pretty good understanding of mechanical, but the electrical side of my project is going to be a challenge. What I need is someone that will personally help me with building a generator for my project. Either that, or someone that can point me to a source that totally explains wind generations. I'm talking right down to the importance of magnet size, turns of wire, how many coils can be put on a generator.....everything. The size of my generator wheel is 48 inches. I have no idea how to install the coils, magnets, etc. If something needs to be rebuild or changed, I'm totally ok with that. I just don't know what I'm doing when it comes to building a generator. This is my project running.( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tD7-0O9GPDQ&t=0s ) Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Here are some links that can help:
www.otherpower.com (good forum for DIY Wind Power)
Hugh Piggott - Scoraig Wind Electric site for tons of info (from mike90045)
Scoraig Wind "Recipe Book" for DYI Turbines (from Chris Olson... From his 4/11/2013 post)
www.greenpowertalk.org (added from "russ"--Like here but more wind/less solar)
Our forum tends to have more responses about solar technical discussions. The above should give you more information about wind turbine construction.
