Personally I'd go with the second ones, more common, 3 strings of 2, the voltage would be closer to double the battery, unless there is a long run from panels to controller, then 2 strings of 3.1500W, 6× Schutten 250W Poly panels , Schneider MPPT 60 150 CC, Schneider SW 2524 inverter, 400Ah LFP 24V nominal battery with Battery Bodyguard BMS
Second system 1890W 3 × 300W No name brand poly, 3×330 Sunsolar Poly panels, Morningstar TS 60 PWM controller, no name 2000W inverter 400Ah LFP 24V nominal battery with Daly BMS, used for water pumping and day time air conditioning.
5Kw Yanmar clone single cylinder air cooled diesel generator for rare emergency charging and welding. -
What is the Maximum allowed Input Voltage of the Charge Controller?
145 volts starting & 150 volts absolute max ?
3 @ 46 Volt Panels in series = 138 Volts
On a cold day, 3 @ 46v Panels in series might be too high - not recommended
I prefer the second set of panels wired as 3 strings, where each string is 2 panels in series.
There would only be 5 amps flowing through the wires until combined near the charge controller.
