Remotely Monitor Battery Levels

I've searched but haven't been able to find exactly what I'm looking for. Is there a way to monitor my battery level remotely? Like if I'm in a different state? Either using an app, through the Internet or getting a text messages? Right now I have a battery bank that is charged by a generator and no solar. I have planned to add solar panels in a few months when it warms up. This is an off-grid system.

Depending on your system and ability to use your router/modem to open a port to your inner network for outside (scary security breach) Morningstar MPPT controller with web access will let you monitor the battery voltage and Midnight Classic with web will too,  You have to read the voltage and decide what state the battery is in.   But a simple $40 gadget with 2 battery leads and  wi-fi will not be able to say your battery is 67% full.
