Equipment choice

Hey all,
We've got many power outages in Guatemala so we're setting up a UPS system that we're thinking to add a micro Hydro turbine to later. I'm getting six 29-size 12V deep cycle batteries that will be wired for a 24V 2000W AIMS LF inverter charger. The question i have is which cable size to use between (1) the batteries (touching) and (2) the batteries & the inverter (1 foot distance) and which kind of circuit protection to use. The inverter has a 6kW surge rating (20s), but i believe cables are chosen for the continuous rating, right? I found a circuit breaker rated for 150A on Amazon which seems appropriate, doesn't it? I'd rather not use an external DC fuse (there should be an internal one in the inverter, right?) as replacements might be hard to come by here and a hassle.
Am I forgetting anything else?
Thank you for any pointers!

Usually we protect the wiring. A 6 KW 24V would need 4/0 cables and a 250A breaker rated for DC.
IF you use the 150A and 2/0 cable you should be fine. As Mike said the manual should guide you!"we go where power lines don't" Sierra Nevada mountain area
