Newbie question about inverter

I have a PVP 2800-XV inverter and 15 - Sanyo 190w panels. It was installed in 2005 by an professional installer when the house was built.
When watching the output I'm seeing 1500 - 1600w on a sunny day at 12 noon. The other day I saw it at 2100w around 1:00PM, bounced around that and 1900w for a while then back down to 1500w range. I remember seeing it in the 2000+ range last year when I bought the house. Any idea what could be the issue. We had the panels removed by the original installer for a roof replacement around January.
Thanks for any info you got.
Also looking for the monitoring software that was supposed to come with PVP systems.

I am going to guess grid tied and the high output is cloud edge effect.

the page for that inverter leads one to assume GT but the main page is all about GT but not that model inverter..

I guess you are worried about poor performance?

What time of year did you purchase?

Solar panel normally produce about 75% of panel rating, so 15 190 watt panels should produce about 2135 watts normally, Most grid tied inverters run pretty high good pass through perhaps 97-98% of that so figure 2080 watts as a normal production, heat will reduce this as panel produce less voltage in heat, you didn't have the panels placed closer to the roof when reroofing? and cold clear days provide for higher voltage, hence more power(wattage). Did you purchase you home in late fall early winter?
Home system 4000 watt (Evergreen) array standing, with 2 Midnite Classic Lites,  Midnite E-panel, Magnum MS4024, Prosine 1800(now backup) and Exeltech 1100(former backup...lol), 660 ah 24v Forklift battery(now 10 years old). Off grid for 20 years (if I include 8 months on a bicycle).
    - Assorted other systems, pieces and to many panels in the closet to not do more projects.
