22kw Well pump

I have 22kw water pump that I want to run of PV.
What size panels should I use?
Do I drive the motor with an inverter or a VFD?
If VFD, then how do I program it?

Make, model, amount of water to be pumped, in daylight or 24 hr per day and location of this project will help start the discussion... also availability of PV and charge controllers etc.

That's a HUGE pump, and will need a lot of expensive solar panels. 22KW ? are you sure?

Perhaps you can find some starting infomration in these threads:
The last one is real interesting. Using a "standard" (I think) VFD directly fed from solar array (out of Pakistan). Poster left a little information out of the final design.
