    There are relays that are powered by AC coil. For example, this one, will work on 230V AC snd can switch up to 30A and up to 28V DC. It is easier and cheaper than using a transdormer and rectifier to switch DC-coil relay.

    But such things are not available locally. Thats why using DC coil relay

    I am not 100% positive, but I think DigiKey ships worldwide.
