All's well

Finally got out to the cabin for the first time this year!
Batteries were fully charged and in Float (I disconnect inverter and leave panels & controller hooked up). SG right up. Added 1/4 cup distilled water to each cell (nicely consistent and not too much loss since October). Fired up inverter: works perfectly as usual.

I also fired up the old Honda EU1000i generator. I don't know; took a dozen pulls. Mere 6,000+ hours on it and it's acting up. Maybe it needs a new spark plug. ;)

Now if I can only get the rest of the stuff done out there. Still 100 sq. ft. of roof missing, for example. :blush:

    Kewl! I always worry when I'm on extended vacation of haven't seen my system in a while, but 7 months!

    Stole your roof and left the solar panels? or putting a roof over a small porch?
    Home system 4000 watt (Evergreen) array standing, with 2 Midnite Classic Lites,  Midnite E-panel, Magnum MS4024, Prosine 1800(now backup) and Exeltech 1100(former backup...lol), 660 ah 24v Forklift battery(now 10 years old). Off grid for 20 years (if I include 8 months on a bicycle).
    - Assorted other systems, pieces and to many panels in the closet to not do more projects.

    6000 houron generator, it's almost new. When I had a problim with my atv, I ran some carb cleaner through it and it just got better and better.

    Glad it all works

    It DOES look beautiful and very peaceful. However, you need to protect much more of the roof with PV modules, IMHO.

    Glad that all is well there, Marc. Vic

    Vic;

    See that big hole? That's where the new PV is supposed to go. ;)
