help with my connections

I just installed my panel on the roof and Need some help with my setup.
Which components should I connect first. basically looking for an order of operations for my new system.


Rogue MPPT-3024 controller
125watt panel installed on roof
two 12v AGM batteries, On wood rack 12" below the Rogue controller.

600w Grid Tie Inverter mounted on 3/4 ply. wall mounted
AWG-8 wire red and black
spool of grounding wire
Copper ground rod. 6'

    Not to be mean, but don't bother connecting any of it as it doesn't make sense.

    First, a 125 Watt panel will put out about 6 Amps of current. Unless those AGM's are really small it isn't going to do much towards recharging them. The Rogue @ 30 Amps is severe overkill.

    Second, a Grid Tie inverter? What were you planning on doing with that? They do not run off batteries, they do not run without utility power, and you can't hook one up without approval from the local authorities & utility.

    What exactly were you trying to do?

    No problem, I have the panel and want to recharge the AGM's with it. They are only 100ah agm's. Inverter is for Lighting and Sat-phone receiver.

    Hook up your battery to your controller first. Then connect your solar panels to the controller.

    Thanks, I will use a 500 watt DC/AC Inverter instead of the Grid Tie inverter....
