So what are the labels you have installed on your PV equipment?
I have a AC disconnect switch, Netmeter box, Service panel (PV system) and Main panel.
Any suggestions?
I'm putting these on the:
AC Disconnect labels:
(label 1)
PHOTOVOLTAIC AC SYSTEM DISCONNECT
Rated AC Output Current: 40AMPS
Rates AC Output Voltage: 240Volts
(label 2)
WARNING ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD
DO NOT TOUCH TERMINALS
TERMINALS ON BOTH LINE AND LOAD
SIDES MAY BE ENERGIZED
IN THE OPEN POSITION
Main Panel label:
(label 3)
INTERACTIVE PHOTOVOLTAIC
POWER CONNECTED
Rated AC Output Current: 40AMPS
Rates AC Output Voltage: 240Volts
Service Panel label:
(label 4)
INTERACTIVE PHOTOVOLTAIC
POWER CONNECTED
Rated AC Output Current: 40AMPS
Rates AC Output Voltage: 240Volts

See attached photo...labels put on by my contractor.

Looks like the contractors next install will use a larger box !!Powerfab top of pole PV mount | Listeroid 6/1 w/st5 gen head | XW6048 inverter/chgr | Iota 48V/15A charger | Morningstar 60A MPPT | 48V, 800A NiFe Battery (in series)| 15, Evergreen 205w "12V" PV array on pole | Midnight ePanel | Grundfos 10 SO5-9 with 3 wire Franklin Electric motor (1/2hp 240V 1ph ) on a timer for 3 hr noontime run - Runs off PV ||
|| Midnight Classic 200 | 10, Evergreen 200w in a 160VOC array ||
|| VEC1093 12V Charger | Maha C401 aa/aaa Charger | SureSine | Sunsaver MPPT 15A

i think he just needed to make the lettering smaller and trim the plastic to fit better. more work than he'd want though in doing that. those little machines that cut into the plastic are always at hamfests for amateur radio operators to get callsigns put on nametags. it makes me wonder if the guy moonlights on sundays at those hamfests. -

Actually, my cutoff box is itself redundant, and I'm guessing that
Missouri will someday eliminate the requirement for one. That's
what California has done already, as I understand. Which leads
me to wonder....where do Californians put the labels?

Re: PV Labels for Enphase system.
I don't much like the idea of gluing those on. I would have used rivets. -
Re: PV Labels for Enphase system.
WA eliminated the AC disconnect switch for systems under 10KW with Enphase. If you have a single inverter they still require it (another reason to use Enphase).
Mine is 10.125KW, so I'm stuck with an AC disconnect switch.
The Utility only looks for the "AC disconnect switch" label. I'm sure the electrical inspector requires the others.
My utility REQUIRES the labels be riveted to the panel(s). No stickers allowed.
I made over 30KWhr today. I threw the switch till I get inspected. -

I was referring to the pic in jcgee88's post - his appear to have been glued on. Routed plastic placards, not stickers...but still glued on.
Me no likey. Me likey rivets. Pop popitty pop pop. -

FWIW - SDG&E here requires the AC disconnect, disconnect label, and a placard showing a simple line-diagram of the house/install near the service entrance. As a result, I have a huge 8"x11" red engraved placard (riveted) to my main service panel.
Stickers were OK for the other labels. Sure would have been nice to not have needed the disconnect - would have simplified the wiring a small amount. -
I ordered my Labels from http://www.solarwarninglabels.net/ they have KIT For Inspection where you can find Everything, and there was one Card in which was explaining which label goes where , Their prices are not bad as well
Hope this Helped
