Solar assisted golf-cart set up.

I just wanted to get some ideas on what other member's opinions would be for the best solar set-up for a golf cart?

What is it you are looking for?
    • Panel on a cart?
    • Off-Grid Charging?
    • Grid Charging?
    • Operate at night/charge during day?
    • How much power (Amp*Hours at XX Volts, or Watt*Hours per day)
    • Where (near what major city?)
    • Seasons (4 seasons, summer/sunny months only)
    • etc.
There are several options... If this is at a home/business where you have utility power--then going with a Grid Tied Inverter is the best deal (cheapest to install, rebates, least amount of maintenance, no batteries to replace every X years, etc.).

A panel or 2 on a cart, is just showing off, it has no chance of recharging the battery bank before the batteries sulfate, and will extend your range in a day, for about 40 '.

Build a carport, cover it with PV panels, and Grid Tie it to your electrical service. If you are off grid, you charge the cart with panels daytime, and use it as your household batterybank at night.
