I have this cheapo charger and want to use it to charge an old battery to use with my 300 Suresine inverter.

http://www.batterychargers.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductName=94026804ACP

it seems to reach the fully charged light at 13.05 Volts by my Fluke meter. The manual says dont overcharge with this charger. Anyone know this box and can I leave it on 2 amp setting overnight to try
to boost it up to around 13.9 or so..?? or can I get inside it and do an easy tweak to set the upper limit???
I dont care if I hack it up a bit because it sucks anyway...

    Re: battery charger

I have two Shumacher chargers. They are different models and the two act differently.

Should be okay to leave it on all night. Only issue I have see is there bulk level timing. This only occurs if battery was discharged and charger takes battery up to 15 vdc.

Once they trip to float level they duty cycle the two amps and never raise the voltag beyond 13.8 vdc.

Just make sure they completed any bulk & absorb cycle before leaving them unsupervised.
