Thought this was a neat idea.....

Must be something along the lines of an AGM material for body panels.

    Recollection of a steam car design by Cal-Tech backed by Howard Hughes. Had condenser coils everywhere to recover water. Even in the doors. Bad idea. :p

    I don't know though. We often see what seems like "whacky" ideas at first eventually come to fruition.
    More often they don't, though.

    Just thought it was a neat idea to have an acid-less battery source. Collision or otherwise, wrinkled or twisted material is still in tact, should work. Costly to repair, I agree.

    Yup, neat idea. :D
    But it's that "how dangerous would it be in a collision" factor that has me wondering. Electrolyte exposure? Potentially high Voltage at any rupture point? I don't know. Presumably that's one of the issues they'll work out.

    But to be able to incorporate the power source as a part of the over-all vehicle structure - thus saving weight - good plan!
