Hot air collector

Hello to all. I'm new to the forum and I was wondering if anyone has made a hot air collector? I made one last year which seems to work well, albeit undersized for my application. It's 4X8 and hangs on the south wall of my garage. I used an existing window to run the air supply and return pipes along with a control panel fitted in the window. It works well and I was wondering if anyone had experience with this type of collector.

    Solar Thermal (air and water) lend themselves to DIY projects a lot better than building your own solar PV panels and charge controllers.

    We don't talk too much DIY projects here -- but we do high recommend conservation and solar thermal as cost effective solutions to the high cost of energy. Usually a better return on your money type investments than solar PV power.
