Xantrex SW grid tie

I don't have the manuals on these units, but does anyone know the answer?
The inverters are these Xantrex (Trace?) PPSW5548/D. We want to tie them to the grid. Do we need the GTI from Xantrex? I just set one of these up, but it was a different SW model and it needed the GTI to be compliant. Not sure if this particular model is different? I get the feeling it is any SW inverter.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Xantrex SW grid tie
To be compliant you must have GTI. The GTI is a poor bandaid attempt to make the older SW product UL1741 compliant.
If you need to be totally legally complient, and intend to sell to grid, I suggest you sell the SW and get XW unit.
