I have just launched a new rack of Lifepo4 batteries and my 3 Midnite classic 200's are doing strange things.
This is the setup:
11.5 Kw array
3 Midnite classic 200 CC's
Magnum MS4448PAE Inverter / charger
Magnum ME-RC50 remote
6 Eco-Worthy 100 Ah server rack batteries
So...Launched my brand new Eco-worthy 100 Ah server rack batteries yesterday and they charged up fine. Woke this morning to an SOC of 89% The sun hit the array at about 10am (in Northern canada)
Things started working. CC's said Bulk charge...then it skipped absorb and went straight to Float on the CC's even though the Voltage had not reached the charge/Absorb set point. The voltage continued to climb up VERY slowly and the Amps tapered down like it was in an absorb cycle, (which is set for only 0.5 hours (the minimum setting). It did this routine ALL day. It actually never got to an SOC of 100 and was about 1.6 volts off the bulk / absorb setting. It topped out at 99% (well, two batteries in the rack actually said they were at 100%) the rest were still at 99%
The Battery manufacturer recommended bulk voltage should be 57.6 and the constant or float should be 56.8 and a current of 300 amps (total) I had it set for 75 amps.
Any of these seem aggressive?
I did drop the Volts to absorb 55.2 and float 54.4 and upped my amps to 150 total.
Any thoughts?
Cheers!
