Low Frequency Transformers

Someone on a different forum recently asked if a such-n-such inverter had a Low Frequency Transformer
Where does this stuff come from?? I've never seen any manufacturer or vendor harping on Low or High freq inverters but people sure seem to grab on to the techno speak. Are these low end units trying to market themselves like they have addressed a long existing inverter problem or something along that order?

Off Grid. Two systems: 1) 2925w panels, OB VFXR3648, FM80, FNDC, Victron BMV-712, Mate3s, 240 xformer, four SimpliPHI 3.8; 2) 780w, Morningstar 30a, Grundfos switch, controller and AC/DC pump, 8 T105. Honda EU7000is w/AGS. Champion 3100. HF 4550, Miller Bobcat.

No expert--But the typical answer is Low Frequency Transformer units are heavier (more copper, more iron, more expensive to build), and have better surge capabilities.
High Freq units are lighter (less iron, less copper, cheaper to build) and have less surge current capabilities.
A nice overview of H vs L inverters with some actual numbers (I.e., weight/size/power differences):

That's a really good article, Bill. It puts the topic in layman's terms as best can be done.
I am sure glad I have a low freq inverter - or I think I do. Now I have to figure out what a low frequency transformer isOff Grid. Yup, that's for sure. But that's why God gave Mr. Grundfos some good ideas.
I recently got an email from NAZ that they are carrying a new line of AC/DC pumps.Off Grid. Yup Sun Pumps! Big fan ! There are cases where neither will work in some large farming/Ranching apps. Below a toroid wind style from XW. About 75 pounds.
