Well...it happened.
My Trojan L16 battery.  I have 16 of them wired in series parallel for a 48v system.
I was late on watering them.
Out of the 48 cells, one of them was dry at the top.  First dry one in 7 years.

How screwed am I?  I did fill it will distilled water.  Can it come back to life or is the entire battery done?

    Hopefully after 7 years you have been budgeting for the replacement batteries already. Don't even think about replacing one battery in a 7 YO bank(s). At this point if you've been keeping track of SG readings, taking periodic voltage readings when they are not charging, watching for individual cells consuming more water than the others, etc, you can take the best 8 batteries and run one string and be better off.

    It always helps when 'a guy' lists their equipment configuration in a signature. Make and model of components, panel info, battery info, etc. Off grid or tied, full time or occasional cabin....
    Off Grid. Two systems: 1) 2925w panels, OB VFXR3648, FM80, FNDC, Victron BMV-712, Mate3s, 240 xformer, four SimpliPHI 3.8; 2) 780w, Morningstar 30a, Grundfos switch, controller and AC/DC pump, 8 T105. Honda EU7000is w/AGS. Champion 3100. HF 4550, Miller Bobcat.
