Aloha!
anyone know if any Battery Temp Sensor will work on any brand inverter?
I have a Trace I'm hoping to use on Outback.
I can change the RJ plug if necessary.

    Hi Jack,

I believe that the Trace/Xantrex and OB sensors are both 10 K Ohm, at 25X (77F) Negative Temp Coefficient (NTC) Thermistors,  and are wired similarly.

There should be no harm in trying the Trace on an OB CC, or inverter.  If the sensor was warm, and the charger was charging in Abosrb, or in Float,  and you plugged in, the sensor, the charge/float voltage should be reduced.  Or, of course, if the sensor was cold, when plugged in, the voltage to the battery should rise.
