Whole home AC upgrade discussion

Hi all, have a home I obtained on a lake. Wanting to use it for summer use. It has the traditional compressor, acoil, and LP furnace. Looking at options to make it more solar friendly. It has a crawlspace that is encapsulated but no attic space as it is a timber frame style construction. Wanted to get opinions on if there is something that won't pull 87.7 amps and can still utilize the existing ductwork that is there. It heats and cools fine, but want to be a little more efficient. Details: 3 ton ac unit with a coil, 100,000 btu furnace. Would like to get it over to solar to eliminate as much of that $400 monthly utility bill as I can. I have a Schneider 6848 xw inverter, just needing peoples opinions or what they may have done. Open dialog, thanks.

Newer air conditioners can be more efficient if you shop around.   That's the easiest way to shave some costs.  
 
the xw6848 needs batteries to function, and that up's your baseline cost, adding the cost of a Pb or LFP battery bank.   Then you have to charge the batteries, needing solar with good view of the sky and meeting all your local codes.
