New battery spot welder calls for 60 amp GFCI.

It is 110V/220V with US style plugs. Rating itself at 4.3 K and capable of spot welds to .3mm nickel strip. 
Smaller machines max out at .15mm - which is the customary thickness for spot welding 18650 li-ion batteries. 

I was flummoxed when I seen other machines call for a 30 amp circuit breaker. Now this one seeks a 60 amp circuit breaker. How does this even work? 

The GFCI? Of course they called for that. But a 60 amp 120V circuit breaker?
