My newish US Battery REL 16 XC batteries want 2.17v per cell for float charge. My Sunny Island Charger which spends most of its time in float, has a 2.2v minimum. Does anyone think I should be concerned? SMA suggested I could drop the system voltage down a little to compensate...?

If you're cycling off-grid, I wouldn't worry about float a bit high.
Off-grid.
Main daytime system ~4kw panels into 2xMNClassic150 370ah 48v bank 2xOutback 3548 inverter 120v + 240v autotransformer
Night system ~1kw panels into 1xMNClassic150 700ah 12v bank morningstar 300w inverter -
Thanks, I thought it was probably close enough. .03v higher.
