What size cable is required to connect 2 120 amp AGM batteries together that are 1 meter apart.

    What is your maximum load (continuous and sure) and charging current?

    Normally, continuous load is nice at capacity/8 and surge is capacity/2.5

    And charging is 5% to 25% of capacity.

    AGM batteries can supply very high short term current (C*1 or even C*2).

    Also, hope long is the cable to the "heavy load"? Looking for voltage drop.

    Off-grid.  
    Main daytime system ~4kw panels into 2xMNClassic150 370ah 48v bank 2xOutback 3548 inverter 120v + 240v autotransformer
    Night system ~1kw panels into 1xMNClassic150 700ah 12v bank morningstar 300w inverter
